My Experience with Palmolive Skin Garden Mirabelle Exfoliating Shower Gel:
This shower gel comes in a transparent bottle with a green flip cap. You can see through the bottle and easily determine the quantity. The bottle doesn’t come sealed, there’s some basic information on the back of the bottle. The green flip cap closes with a click and there is no chance of leakage.
The shower gel is crimson orange in color with brown exfoliating particles. The product has a gel-like medium consistency. This product smells pleasant and fruity, just like mirabelle. The smell lasts for a short while and is very mild. Mirabelle is a small yellow prune. The product claims to have extracts of this fruit, but I am not sure what the exfoliant particles are made of. From the texture, it feels like “grounded” particles of the mirabelle fruit, but it has nowhere been mentioned! The exfoliant particles are not very harsh, in fact feel gentle on the skin. The product of course is unsuitable for facial skin.
The shower gel lathers well with or without a loofah. Based on experience, the product is good without a loofah because you would hardly feel the exfoliant particles when you use it on the loofah. When used alone, the exfoliant particles do not melt away and stay on longer. This gives ample amount of time to work on the skin. The gel being very gentle soothes the body and doesn’t cause any abrasion. The product doesn’t irritate skin or cause any dryness. The product gently removes dead skin cells from the body and I have also noticed that it gives a good buff to my dry foot too!
From the time that I have been using this, I have noticed fewer ingrown hair after waxing. I would love to repurchase this shower gel only for this reason.
The product makes my skin soft and smooth. It leaves a it of layer behind that moisturizes the skin. The product doesn’t dry out the skin but you would need a moisturize. This product can be a bit harsh for sensitive skin. It cleanses skin effectively and also eliminates body odor. Even though it is very lightweight, due to its exfoliating properties, the product can be a good choice for winters too. I now have been using this product on alternate days instead of everyday and I love it!
