How To Stop Complaining And Start Dealing With Your Life?
Have you found yourself complaining more than ever recently? Maybe you can’t stop moaning about the state of your life. As you surely know, whining won’t get you anywhere. In this article, Beauty and Tips takes a look at what you need to do to stop complaining and start getting your life back on track.
There are many differences between winners and losers – in other words, successful people and unsuccessful people. Winners take action, but they also take responsibility for their mistakes. They also get back up whenever they’ve fallen down, and they focus on the solutions and not the problems.
Winners also know that complaining about something won’t get them anywhere. If anything, it’ll just make everything a lot worse. And so they’ve learned how to stop playing the victim, and to instead seek for ways out of a problem.
As you know, though, complaining is easy. Moreover, it’s bad habit that isn’t easy to break. To help you out, let’s take a look at how to stop complaining and start dealing with your life.
Check Your Language
It’s not easy to make the transition from being a negative person to a positive person, especially when it’s always been in our DNA to always see the bad in things. Language is a good place to start.
Assess the kind of language you use whenever you have a bad day, or whenever something goes wrong.
Are the Gods conspiring against you? Do you curse a lot? Do you get angry and insult people? Do you have a tendency to over-exaggerate and say things like, “I’ll be single forever” after a bad date?
Start using different language. Use more positive words. Don’t be so blunt and harsh whenever you assess a bad day. If a day hasn’t gone well, don’t exclaim “that was the worst day ever. I’m literally never leaving the house ever again.”
Instead, admit that the day could have gone better.
The words you use affect how you interpret your life, and thus have a big bearing on your mentality.
Vent – Then Quickly Move On
You think optimists don’t face the same challenges as you do? Of course they do!
They get just as annoyed and frustrated at times, too.
But they also get a bit of a kick out of it. It’s all part of the game, and they know there will be setbacks and obstacles. But they also know that there will be ways around these setbacks and obstacles.
So let yourself vent just like everyone else. Get things out of your system.
But do it quickly and then move on. A day is enough.
Be Mindful
Mindfulness is all about living in the moment. That means appreciating the smells, the sounds and the sights that are all around us.
Mindfulness is a great way to remain calm when life is getting too much. It reminds us that all that really exists is the present moment with all its miracles. And who can complain about that?
Practice Gratitude
Whenever you find yourself complaining, remember all the things you have in your life that you really should be grateful for.
This is easier said than done, because we’re often so focused on the bad stuff that it’s hard to imagine that we have anything good going for us.
But stop for a moment and spend some time jotting down all the things you have in your life that are amazing. They can include your family, your health, as well as small things such as fresh coffee in the morning.
There is so much to be grateful for. If you can switch focus to the good things you have in your life, you will soon realise that complaining is just a waste of time and energy.
Have Trust
Without sounding too Zen, you could try to learn to trust the cosmos. What we mean by this is that good people always win in the end. If you’re a good person, there is no reason why having faith in fate, yourself and others won’t eventually bear some amazing fruit.
Instead of complaining that life is dealing you some harsh blows at the moment, have the trust that this is a crucial part of your journey. It’s the storm before the rainbow. Life won’t always be sunshine and roses, but if you place your trust in fate, yourself and your friends and family, the good times will eventually come round again.
In the meantime, stay positive. As it says in the movie True Romance, “sometimes life goes this way. But remember, sometimes it goes the other way, too.”
Take Responsibility
Winners in life love to take responsibility for their mistakes. Is it because they love being wrong? Of course not!
Winners enjoy taking responsibility because it gives them the chance to find the solution right away so that it won’t happen again.
Complainers, on the other hand, would rather idle away the hours blaming other people. The spend their time watching Netflix or playing video games, totally ignoring the issue at hand and how it can be solved.
If things don’t go your way, admit that you might have played a role in this. If a first date didn’t work out, figure out why. What did you do wrong?
Once you accept responsibility, you can then find the solution and be happier.
Take Control
Lastly, take control. Be assertive.
Assertive people don’t complain. They keep moving forward.
Being in control of your life means you’re in control of your destiny as much as possible. It means you frankly won’t allow something to derail you from your goals.
So pull up your big pants and look destiny in the eye. Accept things you don’t want to happen will happen, but be strong enough to nip them in the bud right away and move on.
Be firm. Know what you want out of life. Keep charging ahead. It’s the only way to go.

Stay happy!
