My Experience with Charlotte Tilbury Eyeshadow Palette Vintage Vamp
The palette comes packed in this beautiful burgundy casing. The lettering is in rose gold. It’s a very lightweight palette with mirror . There are no applicators included. Honestly, I don’t mind that because I never ever use those little applicators anyway.
All Charlotte Tilbury palettes have 4 colors according to their usage – Prime, Enhance, Smoke and Pop
Prime : A metallic Champagne pink. The texture is like creamy powder. It’s not very stark and makes for a good lid, inner corner and brow color. The color is quite smooth and blends like a dream.
Enhance : A soft plummy brown with specks of gold sparkles scarred all around. the sparkles are barely visible but they add that little sheen to the color. This shade makes for a great transition shade and even a very go-to lid shade. The color is very opaque, buildable and blends like a dream.
Smoke : The darkest of the 4. It’s a deep burgundy brown. What I love the most about this shade is that it’s not red-red. It’s neutral with a hint of red. I always feel this shade makes my eyes look very brown. If you have green eyes, this is your dream color. It’s very pigmented and It has a slight satin finish that makes it a dream to blend. This does have a bit of fall out but nothing that can’t be fixed.
Pop : Imagine pressed gold sparkles that almost feel liquidy when you pop them on. It’s always best to apply this color with your finger tip. Literally juts press it on the centre of the lid and it would take your basic look to va-va-voom. The glitters are quite sparkly and apply evenly all over. The glitters really hold well without falling off from the lid. You don’t need a glue to pop them on.
I adore this palette. The colors are so gorgeous. This is like the neutral palette but a step ahead. The color pay off, pigmentation, ease of use and staying power is totally on point. I have worn this eyeshadow for good 7-8 hours and there has bene no creasing or fading. I’d say that the darkest colors softens up a bit as the hours pass by but still looks pretty good and fresh by the end of the day/ evening. I love the subtle hint of burgundy without being too red. It makes for an interesting neutral. It reminds me a lot of MAC Sketch Eyeshadow.
Overall it’s high on my recommendation list. I really enjoy wearing it. Wish it was available in India though. I picked mine from London.
PS :I wore this look out for lunch yesterday.
