Hair type: Smooth, soft, long straight hair
Hello, ladies!
A few months ago, I read a review of Charles Worthington No Frizz Serum by Ahana and she had recommended this to me. I picked up their frizz-free and maximum shine serum and both work nicely on my hair. Now, let’s get into the review of Charles Worthington London Maximum Shine Serum.
Product Description:
Price: Rs. 625 for 30ml
My Experience with Charles Worthington London Maximum Shine Serum:
Charles Worthington London serum comes in a pretty lavender colored paper box with all the description written over it. Actually, serum comes in a pretty small clear bottle with a clear cap. It is a pump bottle which provides the right amount of serum and I have control over it. I really love this small travel-friendly bottle which is perfect to carry around and the pump works very smoothly.
The serum has colorless, gel-like, medium to thick consistency, which smoothly blends on the hair and feels super light as well. Though it has a thick consistency, it never feels heavy or sticky. It easily gets absorbed by hair without making it greasy or oily. I love the way how quickly it blends on to the hair. This product has no particular smell in it, so it is good to all.
I prefer to apply it on my damp hair and I require 2-3 drops for my long hair. It actually requires a tiny amount of product which covers up my entire hair well. So, first, I prefer to massage the serum in between my palms and then directly massage it through my wet hair. I never apply it to my scalp or upper section of hair. I have quite an oily scalp, so it is better to avoid that area. It blends so well on hair and never feels sticky either. It is quite easy to work with. After I blow dry my hair, I can notice the actual result and finishing.
Now, this product claims to provide maximum shine on hair. I actually have quite smooth and shiny hair, but who doesn’t love that ultra-glossy effect on the hair. I also expected this. It does its job well as a serum. It makes hair smoother and softer which helps to detangle it well and makes it more manageable. It adds nice hydration to dry hair. I personally don’t have dry hair but, sometimes, my hair feels like that, so it works nicely as well to provide hydration then. But, I don’t think it is a super hydrating serum for extremely dry, damaged hair. The softness is perfect for normal to medium dry hair.
Apart from the hydration, it keeps hair frizz-free nicely and my hair is visibly smoother and healthier. I have a problem with dry ends but it keeps them manageable also. Best part, you can use it both on dry and wet hair and when I apply it on dry hair, it instantly provides a frizz-free, smooth, soft effect to it. My comb goes through it super easily, which I absolutely love. It works really nice to control frizz for a good time. Now, what about the shine on hair? Yes, it does provide nice glossy shine to hair which actually helps to make it look healthy. It gives a life to dull hair and adds a nice silky shine. I love the overall effect. But, that ultra-glossy claim is not so true to that extreme. The provided shine is definitely great from a hair serum but still, it is not the maximum pro-finish shine. It also claims to seal split ends for a sleek finish but currently, I don’t have this problem, so I can’t comment on it. Yet, it actually provides a nice sleek finish.
So, overall, I am absolutely happy with the results and it is perfect for daily use. It keeps my hair looking nice for long as well. It never weighs down my hair style and also keeps it naturally bouncy. It also never causes hair fall, so it perfectly suits me. I am happy with its frizz-free, manageable effect with nice noticeable shine.
