Hello IMBBians,
Whenever I visit Germany, the first thing I do is visit a DM store. The day care products in Germany are cheaper than the products in Netherlands. So over the period of time, I have fallen in love with Balea products. I recently picked up a lot of skin care, body care and hair care products by this brand. Today’s review is all about Balea Shower Cream Milk and Honey.
Price and Quantity: $1.50 for 750 ml

My Experience with Balea Shower Cream Milk and Honey:
The shower cream comes in a big cream bottle with an orange-yellow (almost honey colored) flip cap. The bottle is big and the subtle orange highlights to the bottle look nice. The product doesn’t come sealed. The flip cap closes with a click and there is a wide space to ease the opening. The shape of the bottle is curvy in the middle, which makes it easier to hold in the shower. The product being bulky might not be a travel companion but I still like the packaging.
The shower cream has a creamy, a bit runny consistency. It is clear-pearly white in colour, similar to cloudy creams. The smell is pleasant and mild. It smells a bit like honey and milk but the scent feels artificial. It almost smells like a milk cookie. The shower gel lathers very well. I also use this in my bath tub.
A few squeezes from the bottle and running water generates a lot of foam. The foam also stays for long till rinsed off. The product leaves a light layer behind when being washed. It is not a residue but more like a protective layer. The hydrating property of the product plays a big role in this. The shower cream does not dry out the skin. It moisturizes the skin very effectively.
The product doesn’t cause any dry flakes or dryness after a shower. I have dry body skin and often experience stretching within a few minutes. With this shower gel, I was able to go lotion free for more than 2-3 hours. Even after that, I didn’t notice any dryness, but I wanted to moisturize my body. The product keeps the skin soft and supple afterwards, too.
I have added a few sugar crystals or coarse flax seed and used the product as a body scrub too and it effectively buffs the skin. The product cleanses the body thoroughly. It doesn’t help in controlling body odour, though. The shower cream locks in the moisture and intensively hydrates the skin over time. A single bottle can go a long way.
The product is very light weight and doesn’t cause any irritation. Since it foams a lot and is very hydrating, the product can also be used as an alternative to shaving creams. The shower cream contains SLS which is one of the reasons for the heavy foams. But, for the price I paid, I never expected these many benefits from the product. I love Balea as a brand and this product delivers the performance as claimed!
So, summing up
