Australis Cosmetics has been recently launched in India and I picked a make-up setting spray called Make-Up Finishing Spritz. Today, I am going to share my views on this product. Let’s get into the details.

My Experience with Australis Make-Up Finishing Spritz:

Australis Make-Up Finishing Spritz comes in a long, clear light pink plastic bottle with a black spray nozzle which is covered by a clear cap. The packaging is very simple, and clear body makes it easy to see the quantity. I do feel that the packaging could have been a little better, but at Rs.850 they provide 150ml of product, which is definitely good and will last longer as well. The spray nozzle works perfectly and a good amount of mist comes out with a single spray. It covers a nice amount of area, so I don’t need to spray a lot and it also never drops in a single area. I love the overall fact about it; only thing is that due to its big size, it is not so travel-friendly for daily basis. As I love to carry face mist in my handbag, it is little heavy for that.

This is a make-up setting spray and it has perfect colorless, water-like consistency which feels like a refreshing mist on the face. It feels super light and comfortable on the skin. It sprayed easily and takes only a few minutes to set on to the skin. It never feels heavy or sticky. It perfectly gets absorbed into the skin and gives a very soothing effect to it. Now, a make-up setting spray not only sets the make-up, but it can be used before applying make-up to create a nice base, so, I also used it before doing my make-up. It provides a great refreshment to the skin as well. I love the formula and its lightweight texture.

This finishing spritz contains Aloe Vera and Rose Water which makes it a very refreshing facial mist and it smells exactly like rose water. I love its beautiful floral smell. It never bothers me and I think it would be loved by everyone. It is a plain simple mist which doesn’t contain any shimmer or any illuminating particles, so it sets very naturally on the skin. It provides naturally glowing finish and keeps skin fresh throughout the day. It actually helps to achieve a nice dewy skin, which we all love these days. It instantly adds a healthy, rejuvenating glow to skin which helps to enhance my overall look.

It is not a mattifying facial mist, so, if you have super oily skin and expecting a matte result, it is not for that. I also have oily skin but it never makes skin oily, yet I love its natural healthy-looking fresh finishing. It also provides a good amount of hydration to skin and is perfect for all skin tones. It can hide those dry patches and prevent make-up to set on the dry area. It totally sets my make-up and helps to reduce that over-looking effect. It hides that cakey or over powdery texture and gives a natural, smooth, soft, flawless effect. It is also good for sensitive skin and never broke me out.

This spray helps to last make-up for a good time without making my make-up fade away and it prevents make-up from creasing or breaking. It never makes me look cakey or patchy. It works very well on skin and helps to keep make-up in place. I love to use a lot of highlighter and also prefer the illuminating look, and this spray helps to set all those illuminating effects on the face and never makes them messy. But, it is not a super strong holding spray for all day. It is perfect for the daily purpose. My base make-up perfectly lasts around for 7-8 hours, that’s basically what we need in our daily life. But, after this time period, it starts to move from my T-zone, and as I have oily skin, it starts to break from my smile line and around my nose area. It also depends on the weather; on a normal day, it works nice and on a hot humid day, it works average.

Only, it is not exactly an oil-controlling product; so, after 4-5 hours, my face turns oily, and I need to blot that oil from face. It is the best setting spray and a pretty good product which does its job well. They also have a matte version of this spray but that is not available in India yet. It is perfect for a natural healthy glowing skin. Overall, I am happy with this refreshing make-up finishing spritz which acts as a good facial mist as well and I love its natural glowing finish. Also, its beautiful rosy smell is a great plus point.
