My Experience with Yves Rocher Purple Lilac Shower Gel:
This shower gel comes in a transparent, long slender bottle with a silver flip cap. The cap is really tight similar to the other variants and can be a hassle in the shower. Fortunately, the screw cap comes to the rescue but I use more than needed every single time. The bottle is not very hard and it’s easy to dispense the shower gel using the flip cap. The shower gel is transparent and has a gel-like runny consistency. The fragrance of the shower gel is amazing and it smells like a garden of lilies! The smell stays for a long time which is a plus and with the lotion and EDT from the same range; you can increase the longevity of the smell.
This shower gel lathers quite well and with a loofah, very little product goes long way. The shower gel is suitable for sensitive skin and doesn’t cause any redness or irritation. After you rinse it off, a thin film is left behind and it feels as if water is flowing over an oily surface, but the skin doesn’t have any residue. Even though the shower gel is lightweight, it cleanses the skin thoroughly. I use castor oil at times on my skin and with a loofah, I can cleanse the skin without even the slightest residue.
This shower gel is super moisturizing! I have dry skin in winters but in summers, my skin looks pretty normal and in this season with this shower gel, I could go on without a lotion for almost a day completely without any issues! It doesn’t have any drying effect on my skin either. The shower gel makes skin extremely soft and smooth. It gently exfoliates and revives up skin. This product doesn’t control body odor for long.
Considering that in summer I sweat a lot, a little freshness from this body wash was expected. Since it contains aloe, it helps soothe tanned skin too. A shower with this gel after my evening jog takes me to a fresh paradise and re-energizes from within. This shower gel doesn’t contain colorants or parabens and the bottle is made from biodegradable plastic, but it does contain SLS and ALS.
