Hello IMBBians,
We often ignore the importance of body scrub. Using it just once a week gives you very good results and helps in buffing off the dead skin from the body. I am a bit lazy to make homemade scrubs and prefer store-bought products. Today’s review is on Yves Rocher Energizing Body Scrub with Sugar, Mandarin, Lemon and Cedar wood. Read on to know more:

My Experience with Yves Rocher Mandarin Lemon Cedar Energizing Sugar Body Scrub:
This scrub comes in a transparent round plastic pot with a green screen cap. The tub doesn’t come in any fancy package. The mouth of the pot is wide and is sealed. There is hardly any information on the pot and you need to look up to the website for the details.
The scrub is light yellow in color and is grainy due to the presence of sugar particles. The scrub is not creamy and it more feels like Vaseline infused with exfoliating particles. The smell is very pleasant and due to the presence of essential oils of Cedar, Lemon and Mandarin, it feels very refreshing and creates a spa-like effect. I absolutely love the smell!
The scrub particles are very tiny and I am not sure if I have to classify this as a body scrub. The grainy particles present are not so strong and I have used it at times in the corners of my nose too without any redness or irritation. However, the scrub is not recommended for face. The scrub gets absorbed into the skin while with massaging and the particles disappear pretty soon. The scrub isn’t very harsh on the skin. I leave it on for a minute or two and then rinse off the product. Even though it rinses off thoroughly, it leaves a thin film of residue on the skin and I assume that these are moisturizing oils. The skin instantly feels very smooth and soft.
Once dry, I was amazed with its moisturizing benefits. The product intensively nourishes the skin and a lotion is not needed at all later on. I have dry skin, except for the really dry parts of my leg, there was hardly any tightness felt and I was able to go without a lotion for almost 4 hours, which is pretty decent. The scrub is a perfect choice before a waxing/epilating session. I have ingrown hair due to urgent fixes with razors and this scrub with regular use has opened the bumps to the hair to grow outward and also I have lesser ingrown hair.
This scrub can be used as a quick fix to soften elbows and knees. The product also adds a healthy radiance. Since the granules melt away during application, it doesn’t clog the drain or cause any environmental issues. The product is made from natural ingredients and also doesn’t contain parabens or sulfates. I always scrub my underarms as I wax it often and dead skin can accumulate till the next session. With this scrub, I felt that there was something left behind and I always ended up using sugar and olive oil. The scrub is a good buffer but I prefer my body scrubs to be a little coarse as I can use it on my foot too when I miss a pedicure.
