Hello IMBBians,
I love keeping my feet smooth and free from cracks. Since Scholl is an experienced brand when it comes to foot care, I picked up their ‘Velvet Smooth Intense Serum’. Let’s see how it fared.
Price and Quantity: $9.50 for 30 ml
Product Description:
Scholl Velvet Smooth Intense Serum contains Pentavitin™, a highly effective moisture regulator, as well as hyaluronic acid and green caviar, to provide intense hydration for your feet.
Features:
• Intense hydration with visible results
• Leaves feet feeling soft and smooth
How to Use:
Apply to the feet after using after Scholl Velvet Smooth Express Pedi or when your skin is feeling dry.
My Experienced with Scholl Velvet Smooth Intense Serum:
The Scholl Velvet Smooth Intensive Serum comes in a sealed package with a leaflet of instructions. There is all the necessary information needed on the box. The serum comes in a small plastic bottle with a pump. The package is white in colour. It has a transparent plastic cap which closes with a click.
The cap is very tight and there is no way there would be any leakage. There is a thumb impression on the pump which makes it easier to press to dispense the liquid. The serum is gel like and has a cloudy like texture. It has a medium runny consistency. The serum smells very floral and I absolutely love it.
It is very mild and stays for around 2-3 hours. The serum, when applied onto the feet, melts like water and gets absorbed instantly and doesn’t leave any residue. The serum has to be applied after an express pedi. When applied on hard skin, the serum instantly smoothes the skin. There is a refreshing effect when applied on the feet.
The serum is concentrated and thus a little product is enough for feet. The product doesn’t make the feet look healthy or moisturised. The nourishment disappears within few minutes and my feet look like before. I have been using this in the night and I apply socks on and I notice that my feet are turning smoother and the hard skin is disappearing.
There is dryness or dry flakes on the skin. The serum is not an instant remedy and thus you will not be able to find instant moisturization. The serum is more of a long-term plan but it takes more than one bottle to get the desired remedy feet. The price is pretty expensive for a 30ml bottle and the product contains sulphates.
The serum is not for me as I would prefer my feet to look hydrated and moisturised when I apply and this product fails at providing that moisturization I need. I cannot wait for a long period of time to get the desired results.
So, summing up:
Pros of Scholl Velvet Smooth Intense Serum:
• Softens hard skin over time.
• Travel-friendly.
• Refreshing and floral fragrance.
• Smoothens dryness and dry flakes on the skin.
Cons of Scholl Velvet Smooth Intense Serum:
• Doesn’t make the skin look healthy or moisturised instantly.
• Takes very long time to get desired results.
• Contains sulphates.
• Expensive.
IMBB Rating: 2/5
