How are you all? I am doing good, and today, we would be speaking about easy home remedies to treat dry and dull hair. Every woman dreams to have healthy, soft and long hair. Unfortunately, not every one of us is blessed with good hair type, and hence, taking care of your hair is important. Dry hair is generally due to lack of nutrients and proteins in the body, which are required by the scalp. Dryness becomes permanent when your hair goes through pollution, heat styling and undergoes any chemical treatments. So, if you want to treat your dry hair, use these easy home remedies.
1. Apple Cider Vinegar and Argan Oil:
In order to enhance the shine of your hair and keep them moisturized for a long period of time, you should use apple cider vinegar and argan oil. Apple cider vinegar helps to remove the dirt and debris from the scalp, while argan oil helps to keep your hair soft, smooth and moisturized. A combination of ACV and argan oil is excellent to be used by those who are dealing with dry and lifeless hair. Take one cup of apple cider vinegar and add two spoons of argan oil to it. Mix together and store it in a bottle. Apply on your scalp and allow it to dry. Wash off after 40-45 minutes.
2. Kiwi and Yogurt:
Yogurt or curd contains a lot of lactic acids, which can help to strip away the dirt from the scalp and also provide nourishment to the hair. The fats present in the yogurt can keep your hair strong and shiny. Kiwi contains a lot of Vitamin C, which helps to keep your tresses smooth and soft. Take half cup of yogurt and add 10-12 spoons of kiwi paste to it. Mix together and apply on the scalp. Leave it for one hour and wash off with cold water.
3. Lemon and Olive Oil:
Lemon contains a lot of Vitamin C or citric acid, which can help to get rid of the dirt from the scalp. Olive oil contains essential fats which nourish and moisturizes your hair well. Using a combination of lemon and olive oil not only helps to treat dull hair, but it also deals with an itchy scalp. Take some olive oil and heat it for some time. Now add some lemon juice to it and apply on the scalp. Leave it for overnight and wash off in the morning using a mild shampoo.
4. Avocado and Egg Yolk:
Avocado contains a lot of fatty acids and antioxidants, which can help to provide nourishment to your scalp. Egg yolk is rich in zinc, potassium, and vitamins, which can help to lock moisture in the hair, and thus, promoting healthy hair. Take one mashed avocado and add egg yolk to it. Mash them together and apply on the scalp. Work on sections and let it sit for an hour. Wash off with cold water.
5. Coconut:
Coconut is rich in fatty acids, proteins, iron and zinc, which can help to provide nourishment to your dry and dull hair. In order to use coconut for dry hair, take a half cup of coconut milk, add 10 spoons of coconut oil and one spoon of honey. Mix them together and apply this mixture on your scalp. Wash off with cold water after 40 minutes.
6. Beer and Oil Mask:
Take ½ cup of flat beer and add 2-3 spoons of canola or argan oil. Add one egg to it and mix together. Apply this mixture on your scalp and let it sit for 15 minutes. When the liquid evaporates from the scalp, rinse off with cold water. It helps to strengthen your hair and keep it nourished all the time. Using beer and oil mask helps to provide protein to the scalp, thus giving you healthy and soft hair.
7. Baking Soda:
Baking soda helps to remove build-up from the scalp, and also, helps in eliminating impurities easily. Due to alkaline nature of the baking soda, it helps to remove a lot of dirt and also cleanses your scalp thoroughly. Using baking soda paste can also help to revive moisture in the hair. Take two spoons of baking soda and add some lemon juice to it. Apply on the scalp and wash off with cold water after 20 minutes. You can also add one spoon of baking soda to your shampoo or conditioner.
