Hello, everyone!
Today’s review is about Balea Micellar water for dry and sensitive skin. I find micellar water to be very effective and mild to the skin while removing makeup. I first tried Nivea 3-in-1 Caring Micellar Water and was very impressed with it, and wanted to try different brands.
Price: €3 or Rs 225 for 400ml
Product Description:
The Balea Micellar water is for dry and sensitive skin combines three products in one step: cleaning, makeup remover and toner! The formulation with micelles removes gently make-up and excess sebum. Cleans, cares for and protects the skin from drying out. No rubbing or rinsing with water necessary. With glycerine and orange blossom water. Without alcohol. Fragrance-free.
The product is vegan.
Ingredients:
Aqua | Pentylene Glycol | Propylene Glycol | Glycerin | Sodium Cocoamphoacetate | Citrus Aurantium Dulcis Flower Water | Sodium Salicylate | Sodium Benzoate | Citric Acid | Sodium Chloride | Tetrasodium EDTA
My Experience with Balea Micellar Water for Dry and Sensitive Skin:
The packaging is a plastic bottle with a flip lid. The bottle is made of plastic and is transparent. It’s easy to see the amount of product still available for use. The flip lid is easy to open and close, and sturdy too. It does not leak and is safe to travel with. But the bottle comes in a 400ml size, and hence, quite bulky to carry around. I would have preferred a smaller bottle for travel purposes.
The product is fragrance-free but you can smell a little bit of the ingredients, and it’s not very strong or bothersome.
The consistency is just like that of water. The texture feels a little different. It smells slightly of antibacterial hand sprays available in hospitals. Yes, that is one thing that I didn’t like. But I can live with it. The fragrance is noticeable only when you consciously smell the product. If not, it’s hardly noticeable.
I use a cotton pad and squeeze the product onto it till the pad is wet and then apply it all over my face. I dab the pad on both my eyes for a few seconds so that makeup gets softer, especially the mascara and eyeliner. Then, I wipe off the makeup with the same pad. The eye makeup is almost completely gone. But the liner in between the eyelashes takes a little more of rubbing. The foundation and other makeup get wiped off very easily. I also use a makeup wipe after that to see that it’s almost stain-free even after wiping all the corners. It shows that the micellar water is very effective in removing makeup.
The product is alcohol-free, and hence, it does not cause dryness after use. I have used it on my breakouts and it does not burn at all. I find it very mild and suitable for acne-prone or sensitive skin. My skin feels very soft and smooth after use. This product did not cause any redness or irritation on my sensitive skin.
Overall, I like using it for everyday makeup removal as it’s so gentle to the skin. I love using it!
