My Experience with Sephora Collection Lingzhi Face Mask:
The packaging of these masks from Sephora is nice and attractive. The mask comes in a rusty orange-colored plastic packet and bears the product details in bright white and black fonts. The entire product-related information is printed on this outer cover. Usage instructions are clearly mentioned at the back of the packet. The packaging is nice and travel friendly. I did not find any flaws about the packaging of the product.
The sheet mask is white in color and has cut outs for eyes, nose and lips, just like all regular sheet masks. The size of the mask is large enough and covers my face entire face properly. The material of the mask is soft and thin, similar to cotton. The cloth is very delicate and is deeply infused with serum. The mask fits very nicely on the face and does not slip off even if I do my work or move around. So, I easily keep doing my work with this sheet mask on my face. The mask holds the serum nicely and has nice absorbency. The cloth is perfectly wet and thankfully the serum does not drip from the mask, hence it is mess free. I prefer keeping this sheet mask for about 15-20 masks to let it dry out completely and then gently massaged the left-out serum on my face for it to get absorbed completely. The mask has a mild fragrance which is quite refreshing. The smell lingers only for a short period of time and goes away as soon as I remove the mask.
Sheet masks are really easy to use and very soothing. I have been travelling a lot recently and these sheet masks are my best friends these days. They keep my skin nourished and glowing. I have slightly combination skin and this mask suits my skin well. It does not leave any greasy residue behind and nor it caused any skin breakouts. The serum is non sticky and feels comfortable on the skin. It does not give a heavier feel to the skin. It does not cause any skin allergies to my sensitive skin.
Lingzhi is basically a type of mushroom found in East Asia, which is known for its medicinal properties. It is known to improve immunity and also has amazing skin-healing properties. It slows down premature ageing. It helps to control acne and other skin issues like rashes, sunburns, etc. I got this mask since I had read a lot about these mushrooms, but I was highly disappointed with the results I got from this particular sheet mask from Sephora. The mask did not really work as per the claims. I could not notice any skin smoothening. All it does is just basic moisturization – simply took care of the dryness of my skin. My skin looked moisturized and nourished, but the effects lasted hardly a day. Other than its moisturizing benefit, I could not see any significant use of this sheet mask. The prices of Sephora masks are quite hiked in India and one may get similar results with Korean brands that are available at lesser range, like Tony Moly, The Face Shop, Innisfree, etc.
