Skin tone: Medium to Dusky
Hello beautiful ladies,
I love Tarte Cosmetics. Recently, I purchased a mini set of their Clay Paint Liners in the shades “Bronze” and “Black”. The shade, “Black” is already reviewed on IMBB here. So, let’s get started with the review of the shade “Bronze”.
Price: $24 for 6g
Product Description:
First ever squeezable cream eyeliner with unique blending tip inspired by an artist’s palette
Amazonian clay: nature’s most perfect ingredient for better, longer, truer wear
vitamin E: natural preservative that also acts as an emollient and antioxidant
mineral pigments: soothe and soften skin
Product performance: This one-of-a-kind, creamy vegan eyeliner takes the intimidation out of pigmentation with a no-tug application that’s as simple as squeeze, line and define. Fewer waxes and a cushion slide technology allow for the creamiest texture and smoothest application in a portable squeezable tube with flat ‘blending stage’ to pick up and apply your perfect amount of eyeliner. Use the included liner brush to glide the 12-hour waterproof formula across the lashline, and create dramatic natural artistry looks powered by Amazonian clay.
Ingredients:
Isodecane, Polyethylene, Disteardimonium Hectorite, Trimethylsiloxysilicate, Propylene Carbonate, Caprylic/Capric Triglycerides, Barium Sulfate, Poly(Glycol Adipate)/Bis-Hydroxyethoxypropyl Dimethicone Copolymer, Tocopheryl Acetate, Phenyl Trimethicone, Phenoxyethanol, Kaolin, Spilanthes Acmella Flower Extract, Caprylyl Glycol, Hydrogenated Polycyclopentadiene, Iron Oxides (CI 77499).
My Experience with Tarte Tartiest Clay Paint Liner – Bronze:
Tarte Tartiest Clay Paint Liner comes packaged in a dark violet colored cardboard box which holds the actual tube of the clay paint eyeliner and the eyeliner brush. The eyeliner comes in a color-coded squeezy tube with a golden cap, and it looks very classy. The innovation lies in the tube of the eyeliner. It has a unique application tip called as the “Blending Stage”.
The shade, “Bronze” looks like a shiny bronze brown shade with a matte finish. The shade itself is super pigmented as a single swipe gives an opaque finish. The consistency of this eyeliner is a hybrid between gel and liquid eyeliner.
So, what you are supposed to do is squeeze a little amount of the liner to the blending stage, which acts as a palette, from where we can pick the eyeliner using the brush and line our eyes. Though it may seem tricky and gimmicky, believe me, it will be very easy once you start using it. The angled brush is amazing. Though it looks smaller, it is super easy to use and can be used to draw thin and thick lines. Also, it can be used to create a winged eyeliner look.
The product glides effortlessly on my eyelids without any tugging or pulling, which I love. I feel that the tube packaging is more hygienic than a gel eyeliner pot, as, in this tube, we tend to use only a certain amount of product at a time rather than dipping the brush in a whole pot. It is a waterproof eyeliner, which doesn’t smudge and stays in place throughout the day. I wore this eyeliner for an entire day, and it didn’t budge at all. I like the black shade more as this shade looks a little dull for my complexion.
Now coming to the trickiest part of this product, for this eyeliner, a little amount is enough to use at a time, but the trick lies on how much pressure we provide to squeeze the required amount of liner to the blending stage. At first, I applied a lot of pressure while squeezing the tube and boom! A lot of product oozed out of the tube and made my wall messy. But, from the next usage, I understood the nuance of the product, and started applying the correct pressure and squeezed the right amount of product to the tip and it worked just fine. So, one as to be careful while using this liner, once you learn the trick of using this product, you will love using it. It requires patience though. So overall, it is an amazing product with a cool concept.
