Frequent sun exposure can make our lips dry and flaky. So, we need a good protective base to retain the softness of the lips. I purchased this lip butter during last winter. To be honest, I was gaga over the packaging and opened it the moment I stepped out of the Sephora outlet. Yeah, it sounds crazy. My nose was glued to this fragrance and I kept wondering if I’d sniffed this fragrance earlier. Last week I found my old, expired The Body Shop Shea Lip Butter, which has exactly the same fragrance. Overall, I simply adore everything from the cutesy packaging to the flavours. Let’s further read about its quality and performance.

My Experience with Sephora Collection Super Smoothing Lip Butter:
This lip balm comes in a cute pink and white aluminium pan. The ingredients are mentioned on the back side of the product. Vitamin E works best for dry and damaged skin and is known to restore lost moisture. Infused with Vitamin E, this lip balm provides the benefits of both. The texture is so creamy and buttery that I literally end up licking my lips throughout the day. Ever since I’ve started using this lip butter, I can’t think of switching over to any other brand. Well, at least not anytime soon.
Packaging:
The tiny tin opens easily, but stays shut tight, too. It is tiny enough to make its space in your pocket. However, don’t judge this product by its size because this quantity can last for months.
Color:
This lip butter has no color at all. So, it looks flattering on all skin tones. It gives a very glossy and shiny finish to the lips.
Texture:
The texture is simply awesome. It’s super soft, creamy and extremely lightweight. In fact, it almost feels feathery on the lips. It doesn’t feel waxy or sticky on the lips. I find it perfect for everyday use. All in all, it’s a good product for daily use.
Fragrance:
I’m really obsessed with its fragrance and formula – just can’t put it away. The fragrance is more like shea butter, but light and not cloying.
Staying Power:
The shine only lasts for 2 hours (without any meals). The moisturizing effects of this balm last about 3 hours.

Would I Repurchase/Recommend Sephora Collection Super Smoothing Lip Butter?
Yes to both. Sephora Collection Super Smoothing Lip Butter has a mild fragrance and taste to it. It has a velvety texture and feels silky soft on the lips. It is colourless, supremely moisturising, and lightweight. So, if you are looking for an everyday, sheer lip balm, then this product is for you.
