Rockford, IL Fusion Indian Wedding by Dars Photography
There is just something so beautiful about fusion Indian weddings. I can’t decide if it is the union of two very different cultures, or to see a Maharani and Maharaja donning clothes that is not familiar to their upbringing, or the fact that two individuals from different parts of the world fell in love; I just can’t decide! Such is the love between Akanksha and Justin who took their relationship to their next level and honored Akanksha’s Indian upbringing into their big day. On the day of her wedding Karina Morena was brought on to spearhead the task of styling the bride. And elegant updo and burgundy lips was the final consensus for her big reveal. A trendy, emerging trend coming from South Asian weddings are brides who wear hot pink on their big day. Akanksha's bridal wear was embellished with silk thread embroidery that was a flattering yet stylish bridal piece purchased from Taj Sari Palace. One of the most precious moments of the day had to be the first look. Justin had little hearts in his eyes as he turned to see his Maharani all glammed out! Justin was dapper in a gold and burgundy silk sherwani complete with a customary turban. Inside The Rockford Radisson, Elegance Decor had designed a red and white draped mandap with a single hanging chandelier for the perfect touch of class. After the ceremony commenced, guests dined on delicious Indian cuisine catered by Uru Swati. Darshana Rajput of Dars Photography has curated a wonderful set of images that can be found hanging out in the gallery.
