The trend of clicking selfies is not new but now everyone wants to ace their selfie game, just like fashion bloggers. So, here are some easy tips and tricks I have learned for clicking OOTD selfies. Backdrop is very important

This is something you’ll realise while clicking your selfies indoor. You must realise that just your pretty dress or your beautiful face won’t be the part of your selfie. Hence, check your backdrop, color, interior etc. Even smallest of faux pas can create big disasters in your pictures.

Arrange the components

Your dress must coordinate with other components that are going to be the part of your picture. If you’re wearing a western attire, then check how your interior or props can complement it.

Lighting

Whether it’s an OOTD selfie or a basic selfie, lighting can make or break it. You must check and aim for perfect lightings in your pictures. Also, look for various angles. Practice various angles in front of the mirror and see which one enhances your looks the most.

Focus on one element

You do not have to follow this rule for all selfies but it will help. Try to focus mainly on one element at a time. It can be your ring, your hair, your outfit or some detail in your overall look. This will make your pictures unique and pretty.

Let’s accept it – various angles affect our looks. Most of the times you won’t be able to cover your entire outfit in one go. Hence, play with various angles and go for the one that enhances your looks. Try various poses from different angles to see what works.

Last but not the least, try something new! Photography isn’t just about clicking a single perfect picture anymore. You can try and click various pictures and choose the best one. It might take some time but everyone will love the results.
