I am back with the review of an eyeliner pen. This is probably the darkest black shade I’ve ever come across. Let’s get to know more about the pen.

My Experience with Catrice Eye Liner Pen 010 Black:

Whenever I shop for eyeliners and kajals in black I check how intense the colour or shade is. I am always on a look out for a super dark shade of black eyeliner and kohl pencil and my hunt for the darkest eyeliner pen ended here. I absolutely love this shade of black eyeliner pen that Catrice has to offer.

They offer quite a wide range of eye pencils and eyeliner pens and interestingly all their products are affordable. This one is a steal for the price as the quality of these pencils and eyeliner is great. Colorbar Just Smoky Kajal – Just Black is also one of my favourite shades of darkest black. I so love that kohl that I’ve purchased it for the third time.

Well, let’s get to know more about the eyeliner pen in detail. I came across this eyeliner pen while saving links of products that I wished to buy from a UAE e-commerce website. After reading all positive reviews about it on the site I saved its link quickly and e-mailed it to one of my family members.

The packaging of the pen looks good, like any other eyeliner pen. The packaging is sleek, black and sturdy. The tip of the pen is nice and delivers the right amount of product as per our requirement. I’ve used some of the eyeliner pens that continue releasing the eyeliner formula even when you stop applying force but that’s not the case with this one!

You have good control over the tip of the eyeliner pen and it won’t get soft soon. I’ve been using this for a long time and I haven’t seen the tip getting soft till date. If the tip of your eyeliner pen gets softer quickly, you would not be able to achieve the desired look in one go. It would also release extra product which may interfere with the shape of your eyeliner.

The tip is nicely pointed towards the end, so if I wish to draw a thin line on my lash line, I use it at an angle that allows only the end of the tip to touch my lash line. And, if I wish to draw a thicker line on my eyelids, then I keep the pen slanted. The best part about this eyeliner pen is that it helps you achieve the desired look in just one application and you wouldn’t have to use it multiple times.

As I’ve already told you, the colour is the darkest black I’ve ever come across. The colour is intense and looks awesome when applied on the lash line. It gives a matte look after it dries and it dries within no time after application. You would have to apply the eyeliner, wait for a couple of seconds, and it’s done.

When it comes to doing a winged eyeliner I always prefer sketch eyeliner pens as they are easy and convenient. I’ve once tried to use it on the lower lash line and some of the eyeliner got into my eyes and my eyes started to feel irritated. Not just this eyeliner pen, it’s happened with all eyeliner pens I’ve used so far.

Maybe the formulation of the eyeliner pen and liquid eyeliner differs and some ingredient in the pens cause irritation to my eyes. Otherwise, it works fine and irritates eyes only if it gets into them. I’ve taken a test to see if it’s waterproof and it failed the test. I swatched the eyeliner on my hand and placed my hand under running water after it got settled.

The eyeliner faded totally and proved how it isn’t waterproof. This pen might not be perfect for someone who goes swimming or for the rainy season. Otherwise, the staying power of the eyeliner pen is too good as it stays for good 8 hours without fading or smudging.

Overall, I quite like the eyeliner pen and it’s a total steal for the price your pay as the quality it delivers is awesome. Some of its cons can be overlooked as it is super affordable and the pros weigh more than the cons.
