Hi IMBBians,
I am back with another review. Today, I will be reviewing Anastasia Beverly Hills Foundation Stick. When it comes to makeup products, I am not always inclined towards ‘stick’ products. I feel they are drying and streaky (My best friend has the same opinion. I know I am getting a mental nod from her right now!). But, I wasn’t introduced to this magic wand before. Anastasia Beverly Hills Foundation Stick changed my perspective towards ‘stick’ foundations. I guess, if we invest in good products, the results are quite evident and mostly satisfying. So, let’s get into the review.

My Experience with Anastasia Beverly Hills Stick Foundation:
What caught my eye most was this product can be used as a foundation, tinted moisturiser, for contouring and highlighting. One product, capable of doing so much, definitely needed a try. Anastasia Beverly Hills Stick Foundation comes in a classic black twist up tube with Anastasia Beverly Hills embossed in rose gold. The packaging looks classy and chic that it’s a delight to keep in my vanity. The shade, I picked up is “Golden”, which perfectly matches my NC 40 complexion. The foundation comes in 30 shades so everyone can find a perfect match. The foundation has Tocopheryl Acetate. It is an effective and popularly used antioxidant, which helps to protect the skin from the harmful environmental factors.
It opens to be a lipstick like a bullet, thicker than a lipstick of course! This tube is perfect for travel and on-the-go touch-ups. All you need to do is prep your face with a moisturiser and primer and apply in downward strokes on your face, neck and ears with the stick directly. Then, you can blend it using your fingers, brush or beauty blender. The moment you apply it on your face, you will realise how creamy the stick is and how effortless it is to blend. As they say, it blends like a dream! It melts on the face and eventually becomes your skin (but better). It did not oxidise on me at all.
You can apply a generous amount of the product on areas where you need more coverage. I prefer a beauty blender because it soaks in the excess product and the chances of going overboard are less (it is always good to be safe). However, if you are looking for a heavier coverage, I would suggest you use stippling or kabuki brush, which will give you an airbrushed look and soak in less product.
The foundation provides a smooth finish and does not dry out my skin. It stays in place with a smooth velvet-like finish. The foundation is very skin-like, you will not feel as if you have applied a foundation. It feels like skin, but better with fewer blemishes or spots. If you do not have dark circles, and blessed with a fairly better skin, just this foundation, a blush and highlighter will do the job for you.
Pros of Anastasia Beverly Hills Stick Foundation:
- Easily blendable.
- Wide shade range.
- Travel-friendly.
- Non-oxidizing.
- Buildable.
- Multi-use product.
- Chic packaging.
- Easy to apply.
- No smell.
Cons of Anastasia Beverly Hills Stick Foundation:
- Availability in India.
- Not very suitable for very dry skin.
- Won’t provide a good coverage in concealing scars and dark circles.
IMBB Rating: 4.5/5
Will I Recommend/Repurchase Anastasia Beverly Hills Stick Foundation?
I highly recommend this stick to all. If, by any chance, you get hands on to this magic wand, please go for it. I haven’t been able to go back to my liquid foundation ever since I tried this. Such a time saver and value for money.
