Emma Roberts, Kiernan Shipka and Lucy Boynton on Shaving Their Heads and Wardrobe Malfunctions
What happens when you put three of Hollywood’s hottest young actresses in the same studio? Watch the clip above to find out. Lucy Boynton, Kiernan Shipka and Emma Roberts stopped by PEOPLE HQ to promote their new movie The Blackcoat’s Daughter, and we’re resurrecting #squadgoals just this once to honor how much fun the trio is.
In our 5 Questions video series, the stars get very candid about everything from wardrobe malfunctions to dramatic haircuts.
Roberts, 26, reveals she almost fell victim to a nip slip at the New York City premiere of the new horror thriller, out in theaters and on demand March 31.
“My sleeve almost fell off and completely exposed my body,” she recalls of the look below. “But I had nipple covers on in case that happened.”
Boynton, 23, shares that while she hasn’t had any embarrassing fashion mishaps on the carpet, she has fallen victim to a bad haircut.
“People keep trying to give me a mullet. It keeps happening,” she says. “When I first wanted layers as a kid, I was like 13, and I got a mullet and another time when I wanted to cut my hair from long to quite short I got a mullet.”
All stars agree that if it was for the right role, they would do anything to transform their look.
Shipka, 17, says she’d try “most things” for the right job, including shaving her head if it was “my V for Vendetta moment.”
Adds Roberts: “Is it weird that I hope someone asks me to shave my head for a role because that would be the only excuse I’d have to do it.”

The stars also share their favorite red carpet moments ever.
“Dior Couture at the Emmys – I just thought the look was stunning,” she says of the two-piece design. “It was from Raf’s first collection. It was a dream.”
For Roberts, it was vintage Armani Privé gown worn to this year’s Oscars and Boynton fell in love with the red Miu Miu design she wore to promote Sing Street on Jimmy Kimmel Live!.
