My Experience with Essence Draw The Line Instant Lip Liner 16 Fancy Blush:
The lip liner comes in a plastic self-sharpening case with a black cap that closes with a click. The cap closes well and doesn’t open in the bag which is a plus. However, I have noticed that certain caps are not very sturdy so, double checking at the store is a must. The sleek pencil design makes it travel-friendly. There is some information on the product regarding the product and also, there is a sticker with the shade name on the cap. The print on the sticker fades away eventually. I do not like this sticker and I peel it out very soon. The body of the pencil denotes the shade of the lip liner and makes it easier to pick from the lot.
“Fancy Blush” is a beautiful blush pink-mauve shade. This is my favorite color from the whole lot. It can easily be used as an everyday shade for office or can be used as a n*de shade for the evening with bold eye makeup. The finish is matte. When I first swatched it, I had endless looks I wanted to do with this lip liner. The color is well pigmented and with once swipe, you will get a good payoff. The color suits the Indian tones very well. It adds a subtleness to the face which I like. There is also a matching lipstick available, but when I use the lipstick too, it kind of tones down the color and I prefer the lip liner over the lipstick any day!
The lip liner is soft and creamy and glides smoothly without any issues when you need to outline your lips. Since it doesn’t have any moisturisation property and is dry, it tends to pull the lips when you need to fill the color into your lips. However, due to the light shade, it doesn’t create a patchy look like the dark ones in this range. I does clings onto the dryness and also settles in between the lines making the lips look very awkward so, you need to apply the lip liner to well moisturized and exfoliated lips.
After 2-3 hours, I noticed that the lips get very dry and you need to use a good lip balm. But, this will create a sheen finish and gets faded away sooner. If applied over a good base and a good moisturizing lip balm, the product lasts for a good 6 hours on my lips. The lip liner fades in the center first. The outlines stay put for longer. The lip liner is transfer-proof, kiss-proof and also waterproof. You have matching lipstick available and with the lipstick, you can extend the wear of the color for more than 10 hours. The product can be easily removed with an oil based cleanser. Overall, it is a good inexpensive lip liner and since it costs peanuts, it is worth picking up. So, summing up
