Hi everyone,
Ratidi reviewed her disgustingly awesome find – “The Body Shop Vitamin C Glow-Revealing Liquid Peel” a few days back. I wanted to try something similar and purchased this variant form the same brand. Read the detailed review to know what I think about The Body Shop Drops of Light Pure Resurfacing Liquid Peel.

My Experience with The Body Shop Drops of Light Pure Resurfacing Liquid Peel:
The product comes in a white, opaque, plastic bottle with a pump dispenser. The pump is locked with a cap lock which makes it convenient for traveling. However, as the bottle is opaque, you will never know how much product is left. The pump dispenses the product easily. Overall, I think the packaging is okay.
The peel is actually a watery, semi-transparent jelly. I usually need two-and-a-half pumps for my whole face. The smell is sweet and refreshing. You will love to use it after a long, tiring day.
As Ratidi had stated in her review, it is disgusting and awesome at the same time. As I massage the product on my face, within 30 seconds, the entire product balls up along with all the dirt and layers of dead cell from the face. I always apply it on cleansed, dry face and make sure to cover the entire face and ears with it. As I wash off the balls with water, I do feel the smoothest, softest skin ever. I regularly cleanse and exfoliate my skin and I never thought there will be more layers left to be removed. I have never seen this much clear skin, even after getting facials done from parlours.
It also brightens up the face and does not look unnatural at all. My face shade is 2-3 shades darker than my neck, probably due to tanning and acne scars. After using this for 4-5 times, I can see that the face has indeed become clearer and the shade is much similar to the neck now.
I have bad blackhead and whitehead build ups around my nose area. It also cleans that well, which I never thought was possible without a physical exfoliator. Also, the scrubs often leave your pores open and appear large. I never face this issue with the chemical peel.
Although it feels super gentle, it is actually a chemical peel. So, even if you feel tempted to use it every day, skip that plan. I prefer using it 2-3 times as recommended. Also, when I use this liquid peel, I skip any physical exfoliator or ubtan for that day. I prefer adding it to the night-time skin care regimen, but if you are planning to put on makeup, you may use this before as it will leave a super clean canvas to work on.
I am very satisifed with this product. Good skincare products like this minimize the need of facials done at parlours. This product is expensive but I am happy to see the way it works.
